If anyone knows how to channel negative energy into a creative outlet, it's Marisa Lynch. About a year ago, Marisa was in a bit of a rut– she overworked, and then was subsequently laid off, and had just turned 30. Inspired by the film Julia&Julia, Marisa made a promise to herself that she would re-vamp a 'vintage' dress every day for one year, and only spend an average of $1 buying her pieces. Crazy? Yes.
I discovered Marisa through my friend SM in August, a little over the halfway mark in her journey. I instantly became addicted, checking
her blog every day to see her new creations. She is now well past her year-long goal, and still going strong. Re-vamping an oldie into a goodie is an easy and fun activity that we all claim we don't have enough time to do. Clearly, Marisa has proven us all wrong.
this is so cool! i need to learn how to sew. and slow down the earth's rotation so i can have 40 hour days.
