Love and marriage

Future husband, pay attention.
Weddings are some of the most magical happenings I can think of. Not only are there incredible dresses, foods, and decorations, but it's all sprinkled with lots of love. I've only been to a few weddings myself, but I love looking at wedding photos. If I could, all of my birthday parties would be wedding themed (I mean, I could, but it would be weird...)

Dream proposal:

This might just be the cutest thing ever. A s'more proposal?!?! Props to the man who thought of this first (or woman, for that matter). There are so many amazing proposal stories out there, but I really really like this one.

Dream cake:

HOLY. SHIT. This cake screams my name. Anything with bows automatically wins my heart. But food with bows?!? BOOM. You win.

Dream decorator:

Ashley Meaders. Hands down– she's super unique, and I love everything she does. I've even tried to recreate a few of her creations myself! lovelovelove
I had to choose only a few things to post of hers (it was hard to narrow it down, trust me)

Dream dress:

Okay, this isn't my DREAM dress, but only because I refuse to commit to a dress just yet. This is an amazing dress though...

Where I want to live

I'm 20, and I'm already house-shopping? Oh dear...

Who can grow me a house made of trees? Any volunteers?

Seamstress

I've still been finding random pictures of bows that I would love to share, but I feel like that would be repetitive...
Anyways, as you all may or may not know, I LOVE to sew. It is one of my favorite creative outlets, and so anything sewing related always catches my eye.
This bangle is from an online boutique called fancy french cologne, and it is totally right up my alley. Once I find $52, it will be mine...

This is totally cool, but I will never get it done. I would probably pass out before getting a tattoo. Seriously.

Ahhhh this one is my fav. It's punny, practical, and sewing related. Those guys at folksy know what they're talking about.

Bow Obsessed

I have always had a strange affinity for bows – they are cute, classy, and I love finding unique ways to incorporate them into an outfit. Lately, I have been putting them into my hair by gluing them onto plastic hair combs. I love the way it looks, and it is a super inexpensive and easy craft to make. Here are some other bow add-ons I am looking to incorporate into my wardrobe this Spring :)

All pictures are from pinterest.com

This afternoon I am having a Stitch'n'Bitch with my girl SM. It's a fun way to kill a Sunday afternoon, because it involves 1) sewing, 2) wine, 3) chit chatting. What more could I ask for?

Valentreats

Happy Valentine's Day to all!
Many single ladies like myself seem to dread this holiday, but that's where I differ. Valentine's Day is the source of cute stories, sweet desserts, and best of all– AWESOME CRAFTS! I am totally an arts & crafts gal– a modern day Martha Stewart if you will– and I love scouring blogs to find cool Valentine's Day recipes and crafts to spoil my friends with.

I would just like to point out that tinywhitedaisies has some amazing and unique crafts that I never would have thought of. I'm definitely planning on making some of these soon!

I made the wax papered cinnamon hearts for some friends, and the pink rice krispie cupcakes for some others! I wish I had pictures, but my digital camera decided to break, and so I am stocking up on disposable cameras until I can get my hands on a new one! Hopefully my disposable from the weekend will be developed soon...

Dream Cart

Many people seem to think that the only clothes that Harvard students wear are from JCrew. Well, that's not true, but if it were, would it be that bad? JCrew has stepped it up in the past few seasons, offering more statement pieces alongside it's classics. Now, I don't know if I am the only one who does this, but I will often go 'dream' shopping online. This means that I go to a website, add things I like to my shopping cart, and then leave the site without buying anything. JCrew.com is one of my favorite dream shopping spots, so here are some of the looks from my dream cart.

New Dress A Day

If anyone knows how to channel negative energy into a creative outlet, it's Marisa Lynch. About a year ago, Marisa was in a bit of a rut– she overworked, and then was subsequently laid off, and had just turned 30. Inspired by the film Julia&Julia, Marisa made a promise to herself that she would re-vamp a 'vintage' dress every day for one year, and only spend an average of $1 buying her pieces. Crazy? Yes.

I discovered Marisa through my friend SM in August, a little over the halfway mark in her journey. I instantly became addicted, checking her blog every day to see her new creations. She is now well past her year-long goal, and still going strong. Re-vamping an oldie into a goodie is an easy and fun activity that we all claim we don't have enough time to do. Clearly, Marisa has proven us all wrong.

A novel accessory

Now, I'm not about to pretend that I am an avid reader, because I am not. BUT– At the NYC premiere of Black Swan, Natalie Portman paired her black Dior gown with an Olympia Le-Tan 'Lolita' clutch, an accessory that makes reading look so much more fun than (in my opinion) it actually is.
The price tag of this accessory does make me a little nervous, so I think that I am going to take a crack at making a book-clutch of my own in the near future. What book should I use?

Jewelry Box

Kate Bosworth and her trusty friend and stylist, Cher Coulter, have teamed up to create jewelmint.com, an exclusive online jewelry club. Every month, your 'showroom' is filled up with a variety of pieces they have designed, inspired from their travels around the world, and personalized to your style and taste. Pick your favorite piece, and have it sent to your doorstep for only $29.99. The only problem? I can't choose just one...

I like gold jewelry. Can you tell?

11:11pm

I just discovered this video, which I think is way cuter than the official video. Angus and Julia Stone have lots of great music, but this song is definitely my favorite.
